The toilet brush

Do you typically return the toilet brush back to its holder once you’ve finished cleaning the toilet? If the answer is yes, it may be time to kick the habit. Placing the brush immediately back into the holder can result in the growth of bacteria.

Solution: Let the toilet brush dry for approximately ten minutes prior to putting it away. Simply lay the toilet brush down between the toilet seat and the toilet base, so that it’s held in place by the seat, and the head of the brush is suspended overtop of the toilet bowl. Once the brush is dry, return it to its holder.

Organizing you utensils in the dishwasher

The dishwasher is the best invention, since sliced bread however, if you aren’t loading it correctly, chance are you aren’t maximizing its benefits. It’s often easy to just throw your utensils into the dishwasher without a set system in place but, when all of your utensils are facing the same direction, spoons and forks often end up ‘spooning’ each other. This results in your utensils not being cleaned correctly.

Solution: To ensure that your utensils are getting cleaned effectively, alternate the way you load your utensils by facing some of their tops up and others down.

Using spray cleaners

Does your spray cleaner leave behind residue and streak marks? If so, you’re probably spraying too much product directly onto the surface being cleaned.

Solution: Maximize the end results by adding a couple sprays of product to a microfibre cloth instead. This will help control the amount of product being used, and leave you with a streak free finish!
