Fast and Easy Cleaning Tips for the Blender, Microwave and Frying Pan's featured image

Apart from dishes and cutlery, the most frequently used kitchen utensils are the blender, microwave and frying pan. The expert home cleaners at MOLLY MAID have perfected the cleaning methods for these three products. Here’s how to clean them – fast and easy!

Blender

  • Put a small amount of liquid dish soap inside the blender, put on the top, and turn it on high for 15 seconds. When finished, pour the soapy water down the drain and refill with clean water. Turn on the blender for another 15 seconds, then dump out the water and rinse. Your blender is now clean as a whistle.

Microwave

  • Combine some water and lemon slices in a microwave-safe bowl and put into the microwave. Microwave on high for three to five minutes. The steam released from the water makes it easier to remove any grit and dirt that may have crusted on the sides of your microwave – and the lemon adds a nice fresh scent! Carefully remove the bowl (it will be hot), then wipe out your microwave with a damp microfibre cloth.

Frying Pan

  • Rub one or two tablespoons of salt over the cooking surface of the frying pan, especially the areas where there is built-up grime or food has left burned residues behind. Proceed to clean the frying pan as you normally would. (Note: Do not use liquid dish soap or abrasive cleaning products on non-stick frying pans because they will eventually wear away the non-stick qualities.)
