Hats Off to Clean's featured image

Hats are a popular accessory during the summer, and as such, it’s important to give them a good cleaning every once in a while, to keep them in pristine condition. Here are some guidelines.

Baseball & Fabric Hats: These caps often get sweaty and dirty during the summer. The perfect solution for getting them clean is to wash them in the dishwasher on the top rack; consider using a plastic ballcap washer to help retain their shape. A plastic ballcap washer works well for kid’s caps, visors, flat caps or curved caps, and is typically available at specialty bed and bath stores. If your hats do not fully dry in the dishwasher, let them air-dry outside in a shaded area. Drying them in direct sunlight will cause the colour to fade.

Straw Sun Hats: Washing straw hats are quick and easy; simply give straw hats a quick rinse in the sink to remove sand and sweat, then let them air-dry.
