MOLLY MAID and their customers are excited to be participating in ‘Christmas in July’, an effort to help restock depleted food bank shelves this summer.

“We are seeing increases in demand in our Food Banks of 30% or higher in some areas over this time last year. Given the economy, we are seeing more people in our communities who are struggling – many are coming to The Salvation Army for assistance for the first time. Supplies are dwindling while the need is up, so we are especially grateful to MOLLY MAID for stepping in to assist during the sparse summer months.”, says Andrew Burditt of The Salvation Army.

“We have the unique opportunity to collect food items when we are servicing our customers’ homes. We are excited to help out. Our customers are very generous. “, says Amelia Mackie with the MOLLY MAID office in Mississauga, Ontario. Franchises across the country have confirmed their participation and are collecting food throughout the month of July.

MOLLY MAID has participated in other supportive initiatives in the past, including their annual winter coat drive. Since 2003, MOLLY MAID Franchise Owners and customers have donated nearly 30 tons of food to support local food banks in numerous communities across the country.
