From June 1st to July 1st the Molly Maid Team and their customers participated in their Fifth Annual Christmas in July Food Drive to help replenish the shelves at the Banque D’Aliments Sudbury Food Bank. This is a time of year that the food banks are easily forgotten and therefore in greater need of donations.
In total, over half a ton of non-perishable food items were delivered to BDSFB in Molly Maid recyclable paper bags. This was over double the amount collected last year.
Once the food is sorted by the BDSFB volunteers and distributed, the paper bags will be recycled by the BDSFB to distribute locally grown potatoes to the people who are hungry and to get help from its Member Agencies.
Mr. Geoffrey Lougheed, Chair of the BDSFB, was on hand accepting the food from Lisa Ashley, Molly Maid Sudbury Franchise Owner and her Team.
